All items are inert. This lot of 5 from Jim Geibel collection include-1) Rounded rubber bodied smoke hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: Unknown. Cal./Size: 3 ?-inches in diameter and 4 ¾-inches high Color: Black and yellow with gray markings Manufacturer: DEF-TEC Corporation Country of Origin: United States. Trainer: Yes Cutaway: No. The round rubber body has an aluminum insert in the neck for fastening the fuze with a metal band. There are no markings on the fuze. The word “PRACTICE” is printed on the body in two places. The yellow tape around the center of the body is marked “WHITE SMOKE, and the manufacturer’s data”. 2) Rounded rubber bodied sting hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: ALSG101IT Hornet’s Nest Cal./Size: 3 ?-inches in diameter and 5-inches high Color: Black with white markings. Manufacturer: AMTEC Less Than Lethal Systems. Country of Origin: United States. Trainer: Maybe. The rubber body has a wide and high neck and a raised portion around the center. You can hear the small rubber balls rattle inside the grenade. There are no markings on the fuze. A black plastic tape around the center of the body is marked “ALSG101IT HORNET’S NEST STING GRENADE; FOR USE ONLY BY PROPERLY TRAINED MIL-LE-CORRECTIONS PERSONNEL, and manufacturer’s data. The fuze held in place with sticky black tape. 3) Rounded rubber bodied hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: Unknown Cal./Size: 3 ½-inches in diameter and 4 ½-inchesH Color: Black. Manufacturer: Federal Laboratories, Inc. (Assumed due to fuze marking). Country of Origin: United States. Trainer: Maybe. This rubber bodied hand grenade has no neck. It also has a round rubber plug glued into the base. There are no markings on the grenade body. The green fuze safety handle is marked in black “FUZE M201A1; FDL-2-1”. 4) Rounded rubber bodied hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: Unknown. Cal./Size: 3 ½-inches in diameter and 4 ½-inches high. Color: Black. Manufacturer: Unknown Country of Origin: United States. This round grenade body has no neck. There is a hole in the bottom where a rubber plug should be glued in place, but it is missing. There are no markings on the grenade body. 5) Rounded rubber bodied hand grenade Type Designator/Model: Unknown Cal./Size: 2 ½-inches in diameter and 3 ?-inches high Color: Black. Manufacturer: Unknown Country of Origin: United States. This is a body only of an assumed crowd control hand grenade. It has a tapered neck and no markings.
